The Respiratory Therapist's Role in Preventing Healthcare Acquired Infections


This presentation will discuss the respiratory therapist’s role in preventing HAI and reducing costs through compliance monitoring and mandatory reporting programs. The Respiratory Therapist’s role in helping hospitals to achieve reduced nosocomial infection rates will also be discussed. The presenter will share examples of infection prevention and employee monitoring programs that have been successfully implemented.

Successful completion of this course requires a score of 70% on the post-test.
