CT 20208 Closing the Gap: Improving Critical Thinking Skills for the Respiratory Therapist

Current Topics in Respiratory Care 2020

ITEM WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL SCHEDULED RELEASE OF PROGRAM - END OF OCTOBER 2020. Several publications indicate that critical thinking is an integral part of the delivery of health care. This would suggest that fostering the development of critical thinking skills is a vital component of preparing RTs for the health care of today and the future. However, we know very little about critical thinking in the context of respiratory care as it’s not an area that has been thoroughly studied. This presentation will discuss the core components of fostering critical thinking skills in formal education and at the bedside from one of the few recognized experts in the field. Lecturer: Shelly C. Mishoe, PhD, RRT, FAARC. This presentation is sponsored by an unrestricted educational grant from Masimo.

**This program is approved for one hour of CRCE credit per staff participant who successfully completes the post-video test. This is a single DVD from the Current Topics in Respiratory Care 2020 series. DVD comes with course materials, proctor guide, CRCE log and completion certificates.
