2025 AARC Explores - Pathway 9
Learn about interventions at a large academic medical center to support safe staffing and high-quality patient care in the face of continued growth and a high vacancy rate. Interventions include work redesign to reduce work being done by a licensed therapist that does not require a licensed clinician as well as the bolstering of academic partnerships with multiple schools to augment the hiring pipeline. The addition of a respiratory therapist to the RN/MD team providing telemedicine support through the EICU will also be discussed.
