Danielle Hardy is a Clinical Respiratory Specialist at ECU Health Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center in Greenville, North Carolina, serving as the flagship hospital of ECU Health, a nine-hospital health system in eastern North Carolina. In her role, she provides advanced clinical consultation for complex respiratory patients while leading onboarding, competency validation, continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and protocol implementation across the health system.
Danielle serves as a clinical resource for respiratory therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams, with a focus on adult critical care, mechanical ventilation, artificial airway management, ventilator liberation, and evidence-based respiratory practice. She is actively involved in professional development and mentorship, helping respiratory therapists advance their clinical knowledge, critical care expertise, and leadership skills.
An ECU Health Aspiring Allied Health Leader Program graduate, Danielle is the creator of an internal system-wide respiratory care microlearning and communication initiative and is actively engaged in respiratory care education, protocol development, research dissemination, and practice improvement initiatives. She is passionate about advancing respiratory care through leadership, education, mentorship, and evidence-based practice.
